Asparago piacentino (Piacenza's Asparagus)

 

The Asparagus Piacentino today does not have an Italian name like other types which use of IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) or De.Co. (Appellation of municipality origin) but not for this does not respect the rules of cultivation and production, quite the opposite of a disciplinary production with many constraints and limitations. Cultivation. It's a multi-year crop, which takes several years to wait before reaching production but may take up to fifteen years. The asparagus can be grown in open fields or those in special greenhouses asparagus in two ways: by sowing from March to June in a rich and crisp breaks of of 10 cm, then transplanting the rhizomes for transplant or directly on a very draining soil, with no moisture. The collection of the shoots should be done from late March to June, not just sprout from the ground, the first plane of development otherwise becoming lignified hard.

Property. Asparagus is high in fiber and contain few calories, are particularly suitable for this weight-loss diets. They have a high mineral content, especially calcium, phosphorus and potassium. The product.
