Ingredients: almonds, sugar, butter, lemon and almond oil
Preparation: The mixture can be done mechanically or manually if appropriate mixers for home use. Melt the butter in a pan, add the almonds and sugar, stirring until sugar has melted and caramelized. Now anoint oil a work surface and pour over the crispy, spread it with a knife wet with oil and let cool. Cut into pieces, let cool completely and serve.
History: The crunchy is known to Piacenza since the fourteenth century, a time, on the occasion of the wedding party, were preparing gigantic crispy, shaped baskets and towers and there was a tradition that the Bride broke with a hammer blow these buildings, within which often had been placed a bird ready to fly away. Then the forms were too brittle to use to send secret messages out of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza.
