Val Tidone IGT

 

The typical geographic indication "Val Tidone" must be accompanied by red or white terms, or by reference to the name of one of the following varieties: Barbera, Riesling, Fortana, Marsanne and Muller Thurgau is reserved for wines made from grapes grown in the province Piacenza, which includes the towns of Borgonovo Val Tidone, Caminata, Castel San Giovanni, Nibbiano, Pianello Val Tidone, Ziano Piacentino and the municipalities of Agazzano, Gazzola, Piozzano and Travo.
The maximum production yield per hectare of vineyard shall not exceed 17 tons., and the yield of wine should not exceed 80% for all the wines mentioned.

The typical geographic indication Val Tidone is reserved for wines: white and red also in frizzy.
Val Tidone white
obtained from white "Malvasia di Candia aromatica" and/or "Moscato white" and/or "Trebbiano Romagnolo" at least 70%. May contribute to the grapes grapes of similar color, non-aromatic, suitable for cultivation in Emilia-Romagna, up to a maximum of 30%.
Minimum alcoholic strength by volume: 10,0%
Val Tidone red
from grapes of "Barbera" and/or at least 70% "Bonarda". Could help the grapes of the grape varieties of similar color, non-aromatic, suitable for cultivation in Emilia-Romagna, up to a maximum of 30%.
Minimum alcoholic strength by volume: 10,5%

The typical geographic indication Val Tidone with the specification of one of Barbera, Fortana, Muller Thurgau, Marsanne, Riesling, must come at least 85% from the corresponding variety. Could help the grapes of the grape varieties of similar color, non-aromatic, suitable for cultivation in Emilia-Romagna, up to a maximum of 15%. For wine IGT "Val Tidone" frizzy is prohibited artificial gas plant.
